The unit provides a continuously varible E.H.Toutput from o to 5 kV d.c. with a low voltage output of 6.3volt d.c. and is ideal for vacuum tubes etc. This unit uses a low voltage transistor inverter circuit and E.H.T. transformer. The high a.c. voltage is rectified and smoothened. A meter calibrated 0 t0 5 kV is connected to control the output voltage. Output : E.H.T.-0 to 5 kV d.c., continuously variable. Terminal output voltage indicated by meter. Max short circuit current is safely at 3 mA. A heater supply 6.3 V a.c. at 4 A is fully isolated & insulated for 5 kV.

Protection :

Mains 500 mA antisurge fuse, Output overload protected, E.H.T. max current limited to 3 mA.
