Description:
Combination wrenches have a closed
loop on one side (box-end) for hexagonal or square nuts, while the other end is
an open U-shape (open-end). These wrenches are often used for nuts that are
hard to loosen. The closed-end can loosen the nut, while the open end is then
used to unscrew it fully. The looped end of a combination spanner comes in
contact with all sides of a fastener, thus, it provides a much better grip and
is less likely to slip while turning. This is why the closed profile is more
preferred for turning fasteners when tightening or loosening a nut or bolt.
